INDUSTRIES

The Group has established a number of manufacturing industries in the following sectors: Construction Materials, Food & Commodities, Sports and Leisure accessories. The industries are located mainly in Nigeria and Israel and they are fully owned by the Group. With its accumulated know-how, the Group also offers to third parties the establishment of industries and transfer of know-how on a turn key basis, and where required management of the same.

Construction Materials

In view of the scope of its construction activities in Nigeria, the Group took a strategic decision to control the supply of various materials used by the construction industry.  This decision led it to establish the following factories for the manufacturing of construction materials:

Concrete Prefabrication Factory, Nigeria

The factory, which is located in Lagos State, consists of six production lines with a production capacity of about 1,100m2 per day.  The factory’s special design enables both the manufacture of complete prefabricated houses and a complete series of building structures as well as semi-industrialised products for conventional construction such as prefabricated slabs, columns, beams, fences, gutters, concrete electric poles, and many other products.  This mode of construction has been found to be very durable and cheap when compared with other building methods.  It also affords construction companies the opportunity to execute a range of major construction projects at large economies of scale and in record time.

Interlocking Paving stones, Nigeria

The Interlocking paving Stones factory produces various sizes types and shapes of interlocking paving stones used for building roads pavements. Parking lots as well as curb stones. The factory has two plants one in Lagos and the other one in the east of Nigeria. The Interlocking Paving stones factory was sold in 2005.

Concrete Blocks Factory, Nigeria

This factory also located in Lagos State, produces sandcrete blocks of various sizes using modern block moulding machines.  Production capacity is 5,000 - 10,000 units/day depending on size and shape of products.

Roofing Tiles Factory, Nigeria

Producing various types of concrete roofing tiles, this factory has a total production capacity of 5,000 roofing tiles per day.  It manufactures concrete roofing tiles for some major branded roofing tiles wholesalers, many of whom have increasingly discovered that concrete roofing tiles have many advantages over asbestos roofing tiles.

Woodwork factory, Nigeria

The woodwork factory manufactures with the most modern German equipment high quality Kitchen cabinets, wardrobe closets, office furniture of any kind, bedroom, dinning rooms(tables and chairs) and bathroom fittings. In addition the wood work factory produces all kind of doors as well as windows. The wood work factory was sold in 2005.

Metal Work Factory, Nigeria

The factory manufactures 55 tons of steel per month and metal products required for the construction, building and pre-cast industries.  The products manufactured include security gates, street light poles and all moulds and formwork required by Concrete Prefabrication factories.

Terrazzo Floor Tiles Factory, Nigeria

The factory produces terrazzo tiles for floor and staircase finishes and can be custom manufactured to fit individual tastes and requirements.  Additional products manufactured include exposed and granulated tiles for floors, staircases and swimming pools.  The factory has a production capacity of 90 - 100m2 per day.

Aluminum Assembling Plant, Nigeria

This factory manufactures high quality aluminium profile doors, windows, partitions and curtain walls.  It also produces vertical blinds for use in residential and commercial buildings.

Food & Commodities

In 1996 the Group decided to purchase medium scale Food & Commodities industries. As of today the Group owns two factories in Israel, which are fully operated and managed by it.  Both factories produce both for local and export markets.

 Rosaben Industries Limited, Israel

Rosaben is an Israeli subsidiary of Globe International Holdings that has operated in the food industry for over 24 years.  The Company is engaged in the production and marketing of Marshmallow products, “pop ice”-self-freezing ice sticks. About 50% of the company’s output is sold to the local market, while the balance is exported mainly to the Middle East countries and England.
 

Funny Factory Industries Ltd (FFI), Israel

This company specialises in the production of ice pops, ice snacks, soft drinks and jelly products encased in toy-shaped packaging for persons of all ages.  Prepared under the most hygienic and highest international standards, FFI exports its delicious products to different parts of the globe under known brand names as well as under private labels and “tailor-made” customers’ requirements.

Sports & Leisure Accessories

The Group recently incorporated a new company, Maoff Limited to design, manufacture and market innovative consumer products and accessories.  The products and accessories are designed for sports, leisure and household use and, are marketed under the registered trademarks - Golfer Image and Dynamic Image.
